First America Homes Launches Holiday Initiative to Help Keep Payments Affordable
With almost 100 available quick-move in homes in the Houston market, First America Homes is introducing an incentive to help lower monthly mortgage payments for buyers.
The “Jingle All the Way Home” Holiday Sale — available now through Dec. 31 — offers buyers a temporary interest rate buydown with the opportunity to refinance for free if desired. Through the initiative, First America Homes will buy down a customer’s mortgage interest rate by 2 percentage points for the first year and 1 percentage point the second year on contracts signed through December 31. When rates drop at any point within the next 3 years, participants in the program can choose to refinance their mortgage with First America Homes paying the associated fees. Buyers wanting to take advantage of the incentive must use the builder’s partner lender, Stone Meadow Lending.
“Affordability has always been central to what we do here at First America Homes, as we want to help as many people attain homeownership as possible,” said Dave Barnhart, Division President. “Buyers are concerned about their ability to purchase a home in today’s mortgage rate environment. We have devised an incentive to lessen that worry.”
One of Texas’ largest private homebuilders, First America Homes is in 24 Houston-area communities and recently expanded their foot print into the San Antonio market. The builder can be found in the Houston area with communities as far east as Beaumont, west to Sealy, south to Angleton and north to Willis. Pricing in some communities starts below $200,000 with many communities boasting principal and interest mortgage payments below $1,500 monthly.
“We purposefully choose to build in areas with low tax rates in an attempt to reduce monthly mortgage payments,” Barnhart said.
The builder also bundles lending, insurance, title work, construction walks and other parts of the sales process under one umbrella to keep costs down for buyers.
First America Homes is the homebuilding division of The Signorelli Company, which launched First America Homes in 2010. The Signorelli Company also is involved with the development of retail, medical, commercial, multi-family and recreational properties.
