Mission Control, the 2020 HomeAid Houston Project Playhouse is well under construction and will be launching soon.
This is the 14th year for this HomeAid Houston fundraiser that is in partnership with the Houston Astros and the Astros Charitable Foundation. Mission Control is being built by First America Homes, the home building division of The Signorelli Co.
Its space-themed design that features an operable Dutch-style spaceship door, a detachable slide, a flat screen TV, gaming system and gaming chairs appeals to children and adults of all ages. The playhouse is also a modular design to make transporting and installation more owner-friendly.
“HomeAid is grateful to the team of First America Homes/Signorelli and the playhouse’s generous sponsors as they man Mission Control while working together to raise funds for future HomeAid projects,” said Carole Brady, executive director of HomeAid Houston. “This year’s fluid circumstances are not stopping the Mission Control team in their quest to launch this fundraiser. We are also identifying and reviewing options for the landing of the Playhouse toward late summer, and once finalized we will be sharing that information with (the) public.”
The Mission Control team, led by Dave Barnhart, division president, home building division, includes Danny Signorelli, CEO; Ramiro Gonzalez, vice president of sales, home building division; Kris Moreno, director of construction, home building division; Kristen Rinewalt, purchasing manager, home building division; Siedah Chaney, purchasing coordinator, home building division; Sandra Ferguson, marketing director, the Signorelli Company; Angelina Naspretto, marketing manager, home building division and Codi Bishop, junior graphic designer, home building division.
Home Run Level sponsors are Builders Post-Tension; MC Surfaces and Rock Materials. All- Star Level sponsors are Allpoints Surveying, Arrow Glass Industries and ISC Building Materials.
Builders Post-Tension is a Home Run level sponsor of the playhouse and in-kind donors include: BMC, donating materials; IES Residential, labor and electric materials; Adventure Playground Systems, interior playhouse items and Houston Sign Co., vinyl wrap for the playhouse.
“On behalf of the entire First America Homes and Signorelli Company team, we are truly honored to have been selected as the builder lead for Project Playhouse this year,” said Barnhart. “We are excited about this year’s space-themed design which I can say objectively is ‘over the moon’ with its detailing and amenities. We are looking forward to a lunar landing this summer.”
